The BrizLabs Ceiling Light (part DELLD333) is a Matter-certified RGBCW ceiling light with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth in its CSA record. Matter control uses Wi-Fi; Bluetooth is used for initial commissioning. BrizLabs names Apple Home/HomeKit, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, Samsung SmartThings, and the BrizLabs App as supported. MatterCheck's type matrix for dimmable color lights also marks Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, SmartThings, Home Assistant, Homey, and Hubitat as pairing and control platforms.

BrizLabs Ceiling Light Matter transport and CSA record

The CSA DCL model record lists the product as BrizLabs Ceiling Light, part number DELLD333, vendor ID 0x156E (5486), and product ID 0x0003. The CSA-IOT product page lists Matter Specification Version 1.4, firmware 1.0.7, hardware version 0, certificate ID CSA261ZMMAT51986-24, certified date 04/10/2026, transport interface Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and primary device type ID 0x010D (extended color light). Since this is a Wi-Fi rather than Thread Matter device, it does not need a Thread border router for Matter control.

BrizLabs Ceiling Light platform support matrix

MatterCheck's matrix answers below are type-level for dimmable color lights. The BrizLabs-specific sources support only some rows by name, as noted after the table.

Product-specific note: BrizLabs's FAQ names BrizLabs App, Apple Home/HomeKit, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, and Samsung SmartThings. The CSA product page names Amazon Alexa, Google Home, and Apple Home. The FAQ does not name Home Assistant, Homey, or Hubitat, so those rows reflect the device-type matrix rather than a BrizLabs-specific compatibility statement.

Cross-platform differences from the type matrix

In the matrix, Apple Home, Google Home, SmartThings, Home Assistant, Homey, and Hubitat all have Yes for pairing, control, starts automations, and controlled by automations. Amazon Alexa has Yes for pairing, control, and controlled by automations, but Partial for starts automations. BrizLabs's named platforms align with Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, and SmartThings; no source names the other matrix platforms specifically.

BrizLabs Ceiling Light setup, specs, and limits

BrizLabs's Matter Setup Guide says setup requires a stable 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network; 5 GHz-only networks will not work for initial commissioning. Power on the device and enter pairing mode before scanning the QR code. Turn on Bluetooth on the phone. Find the Matter QR code on the packaging, on a device sticker, or in the included documentation.

Setup paths for BrizLabs App and named platforms

  • BrizLabs App: “Add Device” or the Matter icon.
  • Apple Home: tap “+” → “Add Accessory”.
  • Google Home: tap “+” → “Set up device” → “New devices” or Matter option.
  • Amazon Alexa or SmartThings: use the respective “Add Device” or Matter flow.

After scanning, the app guides you through selecting the 2.4 GHz network, naming the device, assigning a room, and confirming local network permission. BrizLabs says after a successful connection the device is a native Matter device, and because Matter supports multi-admin, it can be managed by multiple platforms without conflict. For full feature access—advanced scenes, music sync on RGBCW models, custom animations, precise tunable white—BrizLabs points to the BrizLabs App.

Troubleshooting from the FAQ: if the QR code will not scan, use bright even lighting and hold the phone 15–30 cm away; a numeric setup code nearby can be entered manually. If setup fails or times out, confirm the phone is on 2.4 GHz, move closer to the router, restart the phone and router, and disable any active VPN. If the device goes offline later, check Wi-Fi signal and consider a mesh system or extender. For a related pairing walkthrough, see MatterCheck's Matter device not pairing guide.
