Maker: multi-tap only on some platforms; dimming at both ends needs Matter Bindings support in controller. v0.92: re-typed on_off_light -> dimmable_color_light. The switch reports its load as a Matter Dimmable Light (Matter Survey telemetry, 154 installs: EP1 Dimmable Light; Inovelli Community 2026-01: endpoint type fixed as dimmer). CSA DCL's single primary field reads 0x0104 Dimmer Switch, which is EP2, the binding endpoint used to control other lights, not the load. Also listed under buttons: EP3-5 are Generic Switch endpoints (up paddle, down paddle, config button) with single, multi-tap, hold and release. Inovelli: multi-taps only on Apple Home, Home Assistant and SmartThings; in Apple Home they are set up on the separate settings tile.
v0.92 re-type (High): load endpoint is Matter Dimmable Light, so filed under dimmable/colour light; also listed under buttons for its three Generic Switch endpoints. CSA primary field 0x0104 is the binding endpoint. Confidence unchanged.
How it differs from the type answer
- Dims only: no colour or colour temperature. On/off mode is a local setting, and the switch still reports itself as a dimmable light.
- Its three buttons (up paddle, down paddle, config) also show as Matter buttons with single, multi-tap, hold and release; Inovelli says multi-taps work only on Apple Home, Home Assistant and SmartThings.
- The LED bar is a separate Matter colour light endpoint for notifications, not a lamp; Apple Home groups it with the switch in one tile and puts settings and multi-taps in a second tile.
- Controlling a second Inovelli or smart bulbs directly (Matter Bindings) depends on the controller; energy monitoring is unavailable without neutral.
