Tapo Robot Vacuum & Mop + All-in-One Dock (CSA DCL part number Tapo RV50 Omni; TP-Link's product pages cover the Tapo RV50 Pro Omni) is a Wi-Fi robot vacuum and mop that connects over Matter using Wi-Fi and is CSA-certified as a Matter robot_vacuum under certificate CSA256CBMAT46621-24, certified 2025-09-10. MatterCheck's robot vacuum type matrix lists pairing and control as Yes on Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, SmartThings, Home Assistant, Homey and Hubitat, with automation trigger differences. No product-specific platform test has been reviewed by MatterCheck for this SKU.
Tapo RV50 Omni Matter transport and CSA record
The DCL record shows vendor ID 5010, product ID 1795, and device type robot_vacuum (mapped from the CSA deviceTypeId), product name "Robot Vacuum & Mop + All-in-One Dock," and part number "Tapo RV50 Omni." Matter transport is Wi-Fi, so this robot does not need a Thread border router; it commissions over the home's Wi-Fi network. See MatterCheck's Matter Wi-Fi vs Thread guide for transport differences. The SKU record lists certificate CSA256CBMAT46621-24 with a certification date of 2025-09-10. The DCL page does not print a Matter spec version. TP-Link's product page says the RV50 Pro Omni works with Alexa, Google Assistant and Matter; matter support for Tapo devices is covered in MatterCheck's Tapo and Kasa Matter guide.
Tapo RV50 Omni platform-by-platform Matter matrix
These are MatterCheck's type-level answers for the device type robot_vacuum, not product-specific test results.

TP-Link's page says the RV50 Pro Omni works with Alexa, Google Assistant and Matter. T3's February 2026 review says its reviewer linked the robot to Google Home or Alexa. No source in this record prints Apple Home, SmartThings, Home Assistant, Homey or Hubitat pairing steps for this robot.
How the robot vacuum type compares across platforms
Across MatterCheck's robot_vacuum matrix, all seven platforms pair with and control the type. Google Home, SmartThings, Home Assistant, Homey and Hubitat report automation trigger and automation action as Yes. Apple Home reports automation trigger No and automation action Yes, so a robot vacuum can be controlled by an Apple Home automation but does not start one. Amazon Alexa reports automation action Yes, while automation trigger is Unknown in MatterCheck's matrix. These are type-level answers, not a MatterCheck comparison of this particular Tapo unit.
Tapo RV50 Omni setup, specs, and reported limits
Tapo app setup and smart-home links
Setup in the sources starts in the Tapo app. In T3's February 2026 review, Lizzie Wilmot said setup normally means downloading the Tapo app, creating an account and adding the RV50, but because she already had Tapo security cameras, adding the robot was "simply a case of adding another device." Smart Bark's June 2026 review says the printed instructions were clear, the app was intuitive, and the one gotcha was attaching the dust bag to the dock. Tech Spy Magazine's August 2026 review says adding the RV50 from the device list was quick, and the robot mapped a downstairs in one pass and split it into rooms. TP-Link says the robot works with Alexa, Google Assistant and Matter. T3 linked it to Google Home or Alexa. MatterCheck's Matter multi-admin sharing guide covers general steps for sharing a Matter device into another platform, and the Matter device not pairing guide covers Wi-Fi and commissioning troubleshooting.
Tapo RV50 Omni specifications and dock limits
- TP-Link lists 15,000 Pa maximum suction, 5 suction levels, a 280 ml dustbin, HEPA filter, minimum 58 dB noise, wet/dry mopping, 180 RPM dual spinning mops and DeepEdge Adaptive Mopping.
- The dock has a 5 L clean water tank, 4 L dirty water tank and 3 L dust bag; TP-Link says the dust bag holds up to 60 days of dirt.
- The dock auto-empties the robot's dustbin, washes mop pads in 60°C/140°F hot water, dries them with 50°C/122°F warm air, and dispenses detergent.
- Navigation uses LiDAR plus dual lasers, with multi-floor mapping, no-go zones, room and zone cleaning, schedules, child lock and pet lock.
- TP-Link rates runtime up to 250 minutes, with recharge and resume.
- The detergent bottle/cartridge is proprietary and non-refillable; Smart Bark, Tech Spy, Blacktubi and T3 each flag the proprietary cartridge, and Tech Spy, Blacktubi and T3 add that it cannot be refilled; Tech Spy and T3 add that it is not sold as a standalone product.
- Blacktubi's March 2026 review notes the dock cannot connect to a drain pipe or water inlet.
Reviewer and manufacturer cleaning reports
Smart Bark's June 2026 review tested the robot for three weeks in a home with dogs and said the 60°C hot water mopping handled muddy paws well, the multi-floor mapping saved up to three maps, and the tangle-free brush system suited pet hair. Blacktubi's March 2026 review reported that after a week with waist-long hair, there was hardly any residual hair on the brush, and the dock left no water marks on tiles or vinyl. Tech Spy's August 2026 review said after six weeks the roller stayed clean; on hard floors and low-pile rugs it was genuinely good, but 15,000 Pa was called moderate and not for deep-pile carpet. T3's February 2026 review said mopping was excellent and the extendable mop pads reached kitchen cabinets and edges. Electric Revolution Reviews' August 2026 review reported it cleared the liquid of a raw egg, with the reviewer deliberately leaving the shell in place to see what the robot would do, and a muddy footprint, but a spilled juice pouch needed five cleaning cycles, and navigation was slow under a dining table.
Tapo RV50 Omni buy and skip factors
- Buy if you want an all-in-one dock that empties dust, washes and dries mop pads, and refills detergent: TP-Link lists all three duties.
- Buy if pet hair or long human hair is a main concern: reviews report the tangle-free cutting brush stops hair wrapping around the roller, and TP-Link also lists an anti-tangle side brush.
- Buy if you want a Wi-Fi Matter robot vacuum plus Alexa and Google Assistant links, as TP-Link says those are supported.
- Skip if maximum suction is the priority: 15,000 Pa is described in reviews as moderate, and not ideal for deep-pile carpet.
- Skip if you want a refillable detergent supply or a drain/water-inlet hookup; both limits are documented in reviews.
- Skip if you need one-pass cleanup of heavy sticky spills: Electric Revolution Reviews needed five cycles for a juice pouch spill.
