The Bosch Spotless2 Cleaning Robot, part family BCR2S1xxx (e.g. BCR2S1B, BCR2S1W), is a robot vacuum with a mopping function. It connects to Matter over Wi-Fi as a Matter 1.4 robot_vacuum device, using the Matter function in Bosch's Home Connect app. MatterCheck's type-level matrix lists pairing and control as Yes on Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, SmartThings, Home Assistant, Homey, and Hubitat.

Bosch Spotless2 Matter transport and CSA certification

Bosch's September 2026 press release says the Spotless 2 models can be controlled through the Home Connect app and that users can use the Matter function for integration into smart home networks. The CSA DCL model record for vendor ID 5418 and product ID 16572 lists the product name "Spotless2 Cleaning Robot" and part number "BCR2S1xxx"; MatterCheck maps the CSA device type to robot_vacuum. MatterCheck's SKU record states Matter 1.4 certification, certificate CSA2641EMAT54642-24, certified 2026-07-28. Because the transport is Wi-Fi and no Thread role is listed, this model does not need a Thread border router for Matter; see MatterCheck's Matter Thread vs Wi-Fi guide.

Bosch's press release also covers Spotless 2 Advanced+ and Max+ models. Their up to 30,000 Pa suction, camera stain detection, side sensors, and other premium features belong to the separate Spotless 2 Advanced+ and Max+ models and do not apply to this BCR2S1xxx entry model.

MatterCheck robot_vacuum platform matrix for Bosch Spotless2

The table below is MatterCheck's type-level matrix for robot_vacuum, not a product-specific lab result. The official Bosch product pages do not publish per-platform pairing or automation results for this SKU, so the type matrix is the reference.

Bosch Spotless2 platform support compared

The matrix reports the type-level capability for robot_vacuum: pairing and control are Yes on all seven platforms. Apple Home is No for starting automations; Amazon Alexa is Unknown; Google Home, SmartThings, Home Assistant, Homey, and Hubitat are Yes. All seven platforms are Yes for being controlled by automations. Amazon Alexa's Unknown cell means no official source or dated hands-on report confirms whether this robot-vacuum type can start Alexa routines. See MatterCheck's Matter robot vacuum support guide for how robot-vacuum capabilities map across ecosystems.

Bosch Spotless2 setup, manufacturer specs, and limits

Bosch does not give per-platform Matter pairing menus in these sources. The BCR2S1B page lists Home Connect app control, voice control with an optional accessory, and the press release says the Matter function is used for smart-home integration. The Dutch BCR2S1W page names "Voice control (i.c.m. Home Connect en Alexa)" with an optional accessory. For general Matter setup, MatterCheck's multi-admin sharing guide and Matter device not pairing guide cover common steps and failures, but MatterCheck has not reviewed any hands-on platform test of the BCR2S1xxx.

Bosch Spotless2 buy or skip

  • Buy if you want a Matter 1.4 Wi-Fi robot vacuum with a mopping function, Home Connect control, and a wet-dry station that handles pad cleaning and detergent dosing.
  • Buy if the entry-level 25,000 Pa cleaning, 9 mm mop-pad lift, and 10-year motor warranty match your needs.
  • Skip if you need the robot vacuum to start Apple Home automations; MatterCheck's robot_vacuum matrix lists Apple Home starts automations as No.
  • Skip if you need a confirmed answer on Alexa routines triggered by the vacuum; that cell is Unknown in MatterCheck's matrix.
  • Skip if you require a hands-on platform review of this exact BCR2S1xxx SKU; none is present in the sources.
