The SwitchBot K10+ Pro Combo is a robot vacuum plus cordless stick vacuum system that shares a self-emptying FusionBase station. It is CSA-certified as a Matter robot vacuum (certificate CSA25550MAT46242-24, certified 2025-07-28) and connects over Wi-Fi. SwitchBot's help center now says it works with Matter directly, without a Hub 2 or Hub Mini Matter Enabled, on SwitchBot app V9.7 or newer, robot firmware V1.1.040 or newer and iOS 18.4.1 or newer. Early reviews tested only the older hub route, which exposed start/stop. MatterCheck's type-level robot vacuum matrix lists pairing and control on Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, SmartThings, Home Assistant, Homey, and Hubitat; the table below gives the automation answers.
Matter transport and CSA certification for K10+ Pro Combo
SmartHomeScene's March 2025 review lists the K10+ Pro Combo as Wi-Fi 2.4GHz, and MatterCheck's SKU record also records Wi-Fi transport. The CSA DCL model record lists the product name "K10+ Pro Combo" (part number "1") and maps it to the robot vacuum device type. SwitchBot's US product page says the K10+ Pro can be controlled through Apple Home using a Hub 2 (sold separately) supporting Matter. SmartHomeScene found that Matter setup at review time required one of SwitchBot's hubs, either the Hub Mini or Hub 2, and said a firmware upgrade would later allow use over Matter without a hub because the Combo is already Matter certified.
Creating Smart Home's February 2025 review says Matter works through a SwitchBot Matter-enabled hub (Hub 2 or Hub 2 Matter Mini), required the then-latest V2.2-3.3 firmware, and was in beta. That hub-based Matter bridge exposed only an on/off start/stop cleaning function for third-party platforms. For hub roles, see MatterCheck's Matter hub and Thread border router guide; for SwitchBot-specific Matter details, see SwitchBot Matter devices and Matter robot vacuum support.
Per-platform Matter matrix for the SwitchBot K10+ Pro Combo
The table below is MatterCheck's type-level matrix for robot_vacuum, from the robot vacuum type page. It is not a per-device test result.
| Platform | Pairs | Control | Starts automations | Controlled by automations |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Apple Home | Yes | Yes | No | Yes |
| Google Home | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Amazon Alexa | Yes | Yes | Unknown | Yes |
| SmartThings | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Home Assistant | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Homey | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Hubitat | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
Product-specific difference: SmartHomeScene's review reported that the K10+ Pro Combo exposed only a single switch in Home Assistant when connected through the hub. Tech Advisor reported Apple Home and Google Home voice commands for the robot through a SwitchBot hub. These reports cover the hub route and are narrower than the type-level matrix; no review of the direct Matter mode was in our sources.
In the type matrix, Apple Home has Yes for pairing and control but No for starting automations. Amazon Alexa's Starts automations cell is Unknown in MatterCheck's matrix: no official source or dated hands-on report confirms it for the robot vacuum type. Google Home, SmartThings, Home Assistant, Homey, and Hubitat all show Yes for pairing, control, automation trigger, and automation action. Because the K10+ Pro Combo's current hub-based Matter exposure is reported as a single on/off switch, real-world automation triggers may be narrower than those type-level Yes cells.
Reviewer and manufacturer specs for the K10+ Pro Combo
Setup from SwitchBot and reviewers
SwitchBot's US product page says to use a Hub 2 (sold separately) supporting Matter for Apple Home app control, and lists app, voice control, and scheduling. SmartHomeScene found the SwitchBot app auto-discovered the Combo, then quick mapping with D-ToF Radar finished in under 10 minutes. Basic Tutorials says to download the SwitchBot app and add the vacuum as a new device, after which the LiDAR sensor builds the first map. Tech Advisor found robot connection easy and mapping straightforward, though room divisions needed editing. Homes & Gardens spent about 20 minutes on assembly and saw the robot repeatedly return to base before mapping completed.
K10+ Pro Combo specs reported by sources
- Robot: 248 × 248 × 92 mm and 2.3 kg; Basic Tutorials and Tom's Guide both list these figures.
- Robot battery: 3,200 mAh, up to 120 minutes run time, 4-hour charge in Basic Tutorials; Homes & Gardens says 4-5 hours to charge and up to 120m² coverage.
- Robot suction: 3,000 Pa in SmartHomeScene and Basic Tutorials. Cordless vacuum suction: 20,000 Pa in SmartHomeScene, Creating Smart Home, and SwitchBot's product page.
- Cordless vacuum: 1.17 kg without head in SmartHomeScene; Tech Advisor says 1.84 kg/4 lbs including floorhead. The 2,200 mAh battery is replaceable and has LED charge status in Basic Tutorials.
- Shared FusionBase: 3L dust bag, advertised for emptying once every 70 days, auto-empties both devices. Station is 195 × 220 × 826 mm and 6 kg in Basic Tutorials; Tech Advisor lists 82.6 × 19.5 × 22 cm, and Creating Smart Home says length with the robot docked is 52 cm.
- Price: $799.99 list in SmartHomeScene and Tom's Guide; Tom's Guide saw Amazon at $400. Tech Advisor listed launch at £799.99/$799.99 and discounted UK/US pricing of £499.99 and $399.99. SwitchBot's US product page gives a one-year warranty.
- Mopping is a wipe-based clip-on module with disposable wet wipes, not a water-tank mop; multiple reviews describe it as limited.
What reviewers saw with the K10+ Pro Combo
SmartHomeScene liked the cordless vacuum's light weight, two suction levels, and green LED headlight, and found the robot's small size allowed it to go under sofas and beds; two runs were often needed, especially on carpet. Tom's Guide reported that the robot picked up most small debris and hair on tile and medium-pile carpet but struggled with larger debris and needed repeated passes. Basic Tutorials called obstacle detection only satisfactory, with collisions and small objects such as cables often missed. Tech Advisor saw the robot get stuck on a doormat and ingest pet toys, and found flour left on hard floors and carpet while oat pickup was good. Homes & Gardens found the robot spread flour and sugar in pantry tests and did little real mopping, while the cordless vacuum was the strongest part. Creating Smart Home noted the robot struggled with doorsteps over 2 cm and called its wet-wipe mopping useless.
SwitchBot K10+ Pro Combo verdict
- Buy if you want a compact robot plus cordless vacuum with one shared auto-empty dock, a 3L bag, and up to 70 days between empties.
- Buy if you value a lightweight cordless vacuum for stairs, upholstery, pet areas, and low furniture, and you already use SwitchBot's app or a SwitchBot Matter hub.
- Skip if you expect strong robot-vacuum suction or real mopping from this small robot; Homes & Gardens and Tech Advisor found flour and larger debris left behind, and reviews call the wipe mopping minimal.
- Skip if full platform automations matter most; early reports say the hub-based Matter bridge exposed only start/stop. SwitchBot now lists direct Matter (firmware V1.1.040 or newer), but no review of that mode was in our sources.
- Skip if your home has doorsteps above about 2 cm, loose cables, or pet toys, because reviewers saw the robot get stuck or struggle with these.
