The SwitchBot K20+ Pro is a compact modular robot vacuum and multi-tasking household robot with 4,000Pa suction, DToF LiDAR mapping, and a FusionPlatform rated to carry 8kg of attachments such as a pan/tilt camera, air purifier, fan, or delivery tray. It connects over Wi-Fi and holds a CSA Matter certificate (CSA255A7MAT46329-24, certified 2025-08-13). MatterCheck's robot vacuum type matrix lists pairing with Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, SmartThings, Home Assistant, Homey, and Hubitat; product-specific platform notes are below.

SwitchBot K20+ Pro Matter transport and CSA certificate

The CSA DCL model record lists the K20+ Pro as vid 5015, pid 2029, a robot vacuum, with part number 1. The SKU record's Matter field gives the certificate CSA255A7MAT46329-24, certified 2025-08-13, over Wi-Fi with no Thread role. Because the transport is Wi-Fi, no Thread border router is needed for Matter commissioning; see MatterCheck's Matter over Wi-Fi vs Thread guide. OriginOfBots' March 5, 2026 news item describes SwitchBot OS and Matter 1.4 compatibility.

Robot vacuum platform matrix for SwitchBot K20+ Pro

These are MatterCheck's type-level answers for robot vacuums, not a product-specific K20+ Pro test. Product-specific findings from the sources are below the table.

Product-specific notes: SmartHomeWorkflow's profile records Apple Home as Partial because SwitchBot's own feature list says Siri Shortcuts rather than the Apple Home app; it records Google Home as Works over Matter and Amazon Alexa as account-linked with start/stop unconfirmed. The Verge's CES report said the K20 Plus Pro vacuum portion would support Matter over Wi-Fi for Apple Home, Amazon Alexa, and Samsung SmartThings.

SwitchBot K20+ Pro platform differences in the type matrix

At the robot vacuum type level, all seven platforms pair and provide control. The differences are automation starts: Apple Home is No, Amazon Alexa is Unknown, and Google Home, SmartThings, Home Assistant, Homey, and Hubitat are Yes. All seven platforms are Yes for controlled-by-automations. In the model-level research, SmartHomeWorkflow's 2026-09-24 profile narrows Apple Home to a documented Siri Shortcuts route, records Google Home as Works over Matter, and leaves SmartThings and Home Assistant as Inconclusive. It does not name Homey or Hubitat for this SKU. For category-wide context, see MatterCheck's Matter robot vacuum support guide.

SwitchBot K20+ Pro setup paths on Apple, Google, Alexa

Apple Home for SwitchBot K20+ Pro

SmartHomeWorkflow documents a Siri Shortcuts path: K20+ Pro → Wi-Fi → internet → Siri Shortcuts. SwitchBot US lists support for "Alexa, Google Assistant, Siri Shortcuts, and SwitchBot ecosystem." SmartHomeWorkflow warns that Siri Shortcuts is not the Apple Home app, but notes the model holds a Matter certificate and the spec table marks Matter Supported, so a Home-app route may exist even though SwitchBot does not describe one. The Verge reported Matter-over-Wi-Fi compatibility with Apple Home.

Google Home for SwitchBot K20+ Pro

SmartHomeWorkflow records a Matter connection to Google Home with a Matter controller hub: a Nest speaker or display, Nest Wifi Pro, Google TV Streamer, or a compatible TV. Its research says Google Home controls start/stop on Matter robot vacuums in the Google Home app, rather than by Google Assistant voice or on a Smart Display. SwitchBot separately lists Google Assistant for voice control.

Amazon Alexa for SwitchBot K20+ Pro

SmartHomeWorkflow records an account-link path through SwitchBot's cloud. SwitchBot names Alexa for voice control of this robot, but SmartHomeWorkflow says SwitchBot does not state which Alexa commands are available, so start/stop by voice is unconfirmed. Delivery trips and camera patrols stay in the SwitchBot app and do not reach the voice assistant.

SmartThings and Home Assistant for K20+ Pro

SmartHomeWorkflow leaves SmartThings Inconclusive because SwitchBot names exactly three third-party services and SmartThings is not among them; no Samsung documentation names this model. Home Assistant is also Inconclusive; its Bluetooth-based core SwitchBot integration covers a different route from this robot's Matter or cloud paths. The Verge's January 2025 report includes Samsung SmartThings in the Matter-over-Wi-Fi supported list.

SwitchBot K20+ Pro specs, kits, and hands-on limits

  • Size and cleaning specs: OriginOfBots lists 24.8 × 24.8 × 9.2 cm, 2.3 kg, 4,000Pa suction, DToF laser radar, triple laser sensors, cliff sensors, 2K camera, up to 150 m² cleaning area, auto/spot/edge/scheduled modes, 0.3 m/s top speed, two-hour runtime, and four-hour charging.
  • Payload and platform: The FusionPlatform carries loads up to 8kg; Vacuum Wars' CES 2025 report puts the FusionPlatform rating at up to 8kg (17.6 lbs). SwitchBot's ClawLock mechanism attaches modules, and power ports include USB-C.
  • Box contents and warranty: SwitchBot US says the box includes the Main Robot Unit, Auto-Empty Station, Mobile Base, Camera Bracket, Mop Pad Plate, Edge-Sweeping Brush ×2, Small Cutter, Mopping Kit, and Type-C Charging Cable, with a one-year warranty.
  • Price and kit range: SwitchBot US lists the K20+ Pro at $699.99. OriginOfBots estimates USD 699–1,299 depending on kit configuration. SmartHomeWorkflow records five kit listings sharing the product page at $734.98 to $1,168.96 at the time of its 2026-08-09 price check.
  • Release and kit names: The Verge's January 2025 CES article by Jennifer Pattison Tuohy says SwitchBot planned launch in May or June 2025 in bundles including Air Flow Kit, Combo, Omni Clean Kit, and Omni Ultimate Kit; Vacuum Wars separately lists Combo Kit, Patrol Kit, Air Purifier Series, Air Flow Kit, and Omni Ultimate Kit.
  • Review observations: In Bozy's December 2025 review, a test apartment map of 55 m² finished in 38 minutes with 62% battery left, and crushed cereal, pet hair, and dust bunnies cleared on hardwood and low-pile carpet. The robot crossed 20mm thresholds but stopped at taller transitions. The review says the unit lacks a built-in mop, so sticky spills still needed manual attention. Attaching the delivery tray cut runtime from about 150 minutes to roughly 120 minutes, and swapping accessories means it cannot vacuum and purify simultaneously.
  • Mopping conflict: SwitchBot US lists a Mopping Kit in the box, but Vacuum Wars' CES report says no mopping feature was mentioned for the K20+ Pro, while Bozy's review says it lacks a built-in mop.
  • Accessories and ecosystem: Bozy describes a Delivery Tray, Pan/Tilt Cam 3K, and Air Purifier Module with HEPA-grade cartridge. SwitchBot released CAD files for 3D-printed holders, and The Verge notes a mechanical arm was still under development.

SwitchBot's Matter models are covered with additional context on MatterCheck's SwitchBot Matter guide.

SwitchBot K20+ Pro buy or skip from the reports

  • Buy if you want a compact robot that can vacuum low-clearance spaces and carry an 8kg payload, camera, purifier, fan, or tablet stand, and you don't mind swapping attachments between tasks.
  • Buy if Google Home Matter start/stop and SwitchBot app schedules for deliveries or patrols fit your needs.
  • Skip if raw carpet suction is the priority: Bozy's December 2025 review says the similarly priced Roborock Q8 offers stronger pickup on thick carpet.
  • Skip if you need simultaneous vacuuming and air purification, or if you require SwitchBot's spec page to document Apple Home rather than Siri Shortcuts.
